Rockdale ISD is looking for members for our School Health Advisory Council (SHAC). The group is charged by the Texas Education Agency to provide support for an age-appropriate health education program, as well as early intervention and prevention strategies that can easily be supported by local families and community stakeholders.
Zain Taylor and Kelvin Ortega were indicted by a Milam County Grand Jury for aggravated assault after shooting two teens at an after-prom party in Milano in May.
The Rockdale High School cross country team had more water than usual to deal with on Friday after about three inches of rain on Thursday night at their River Run Tournament at Apache Pass. About five inches of much needed rain fell over the past several days. There is still a burn ban in effect even after all the rain according to the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department. There is a chance of rain, and lower than normal temperatures, every day this week and into next week for the Rockdale area. For more cross country photos see page 6B.
