Rockdale Rotary Club will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships to adults wishing to further their education. Applicants must have graduated high school or received a GED prior to 2022.

FIRST FRIDAY COFFEE— After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, the Lucky Hill Patterson Memorial Library restarted its First Friday Coffee last Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. The event was well attended and there were lots of goodies to eat and plenty of fresh coffee. The coffees are held on the first Friday of each month, and if you have a group or organization who wishes to sponsor a coffee, please call the library at 512-446-3410.
It’s been a whirlwind of activity for Rockdale’s Jacobi Mullen. First she got engaged to Joshua Boykin, then she got married at a destination wedding in Las Vegas, so she’s now Jacobi Mullen Boykin. Now she’s back and working on her downtown business called The Snug at 121 E. Cameron Ave. and is the latest business in town to apply for and receive a façade grant from the Rockdale MDD.
