The end of a school year is an exciting time. It is a time when we get to recognize all of the accomplishments of our students. I enjoy the many events that take place as we get ready to close out the school year: banquets, ceremonies, concerts and more.
We are starting the 4-H dog project in the fall. We would like to see who might be interested in participating. We also hope to make a field trip in July to the State 4-H Dog Show to learn how to get started this summer. DOWNTOWN CONSTRUCTION—The TxDOT downtown project continues in front of Citizens National Bank. The parking area is being torn up there while the finishing touches in the next block are being completed. On the west side of Rockdale, the turning lane has been opened which will be a good thing for the expected Memorial Day traffic.
