FLAGS FOR THE FALLEN—American Legion Carlyle Post 358 and Veterans of Foreign War Post 6525 teamed up with Rockdale High School National Honor Society and Student Council members to place flags at Bridge Park for Memorial Day. Both posts wanted to honor Milam County service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice by placing 233 flags in tribute to those lost in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Global War on Terror. Be sure to stop by this solemn display and honor our Milam County heroes.

Library hosts Dr. Pruett on June 3rd

On Friday, June 3, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library, Dr. John Pruett will present the 18-minute El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail YouTube video, followed by a question-and-answer period.

City pool opening this weekend

Curbside Bulk Waste Pick Up Event Wednesday, July 15

The City of Rockdale will host a Curbside Bulk Waste Pick Up Event on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Residents must sign up no later than Friday, July 1st at 4 PM to be added to the list.
