After falling to Caldwell in a tie-breaker last Tuesday, the Rockdale High School volleyball team bounced back with a 3-0 win on the road in Florence Friday night, 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.
A young Rockdale team found themselves immediately outmatched against Class 4A-II’s sixth-ranked team Bellville when Saint Medrano was surrounded by four Bellville defenders bringing him to the ground not too long after he caught the opening kick off.
In their third game of the season, Rockdale couldn’t overcome three second quarter touchdowns by the Lexington Eagles, who ultimately won Thursday evening’s JV contest in Lee County 20-6.
Thorndale High School’s volleyball team remains undefeated in district play after sweeping Buckholts 25-13, 25-7, 25-8 on Saturday afternoon at the Bulldog Gymnasium.
