Tigers can’t stop Yoe running game
In what was their most anticipated game of the regular season, the Tigers couldn’t catch a break against the Cameron Yoemen, who went on to win the 67th Battle of the Bell 60-23 on Friday night at Yoe Field.

The Rockdale Tigers may not have won Friday night’s football game, but it certainly wasn’t for not having any spirit. Friday afternoon Rockdale High School held a “Black Out” pep rally with the overhead lights dimmed and had black lights, Day Glo colors and glow necklaces and glow gear everywhere. Above, (L-R) Chris Huff was the master of ceremonies and he succeeded in getting the crowd into a frenzy; Miss Rocky, Piper Pounders also worked the crowd with lots of spirit; the crowd favorite was the entire drum line from The Big Blue Band from Tigerland, and especially Jaxson Zamora (shown here) wowing the crowd with his amazing skills on the quints. Below, RHS varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders, along with The Golden Girls (and some golden boys last week), showed what spirit is all about with their cheers, pompoms and mad dancing skills.
Early first quarter scoring was enough for the Milano Eagles to get their first District 13-2A-II victory this past Friday night when they took down Bartlett on the road. 33-16.
