A busy Milam County Commissioners Court
Monday was an important and busy day for your Milam County Commissioners Court. We thanked and honored Drayton McLane, selected a general contractor for the annex renovation, selected the members for our Medical Task Force and began the tax abatement process for an estimated $800 million in Milam County solar farms.
Farm life, Earth Day, flowers, family, food
For a long time I have thought I wanted to live on a farm and have lots and lots of animals. Especially baby ones and miniatures ones like miniature cows and horses and the like. I’m beginning to rethink that idea now that I hear Mary Lou Loehr’s farm life stories on a daily basis.
Guilty verdict
After the Derek Chauvin murder trial some are saying that there is finally justice. But is it really justice? I think it is more accountability than justice. Chauvin was held accountable for his actions and found guilty on all three counts against him, but we still have a long way to go before there is justice.
