Bonnie Johnson worked for Milano Water Supply for 30 years before retiring in December of last year as the office manager. Karl Westbrook, Milano Water Supply Corporation Manager, presented her with an appreciation plaque May 11 at a reception during the board of directors meeting.
On May 7, members of the Rockdale Junior High School Symphonic and Beginning bands participated in the Rockdale ISD Solo and Ensemble Contest. Students received superior and excellent ratings from the judges. In 2014, with the passage of House Bill 5, lawmakers and school districts worked together to provide students in Texas with a variety of choices in the courses they could take to help prepare for college and careers.
