Rockdale Earth Day has awarded the home of Ward and Kathryne Roddam, 1604 Skyles, the Yard of the Month for May. The Roddams will receive a $25 gift certificate to Bloomers Garden Center in Elgin. I ran across this crock pot recipe and it sounds interesting to me. And it looks very easy. Definitely use thighs in this one because I think breasts would overcook. Thighs will not overcook even if you have the crock pot going all day while you’re at work.
Rockdale Junior High wants to celebrate a successful year for staff and students. On May 25, we will celebrate students during our End-of-Year Awards Assemblies for sixth and seventh grades. Each teacher will recognize one student who has exhibited academic excellence for the school year. We will also recognize students with All A’s for the year. The sixth grade assembly is 9 a.m. followed by seventh grade at 10 a.m.
