AGAIN!—It hasn’t been a good couple of weeks for Thorndale and heavy trucks. On Aug. 13 a tanker overturned and closed US 79 for over five hours. On Friday a heavy load damaged the Union Pacific Train crossing on FM 486 downtown Thorndale, according to Police Chief Mark Birchard who said repairs were made and the crossing reopened.
