The Milam County Fire Chiefs’ Association held a fundraiser for Minerva VFD Fire Chief Ernie Glenn (in red cap) Sunday at the KC Hall. Glenn was suddenly diagnosed with a rare spinal cancer in the fall of 2021. The association sold pork steak plates for $12 and sold 300 of them in less than two hours. In addition to the plates there were 250 cash drawing tickets sold for $20 each and a silent auction. Glenn will receive $12,000 in donations from the fundraiser for bills and treatments according to Milano Fire Chief Kain Dodd.
