The county will begin offering COVID-19 shots to school students 16 and older, Milam County Judge Steve Young said in his daily email.
Last week the county administered 1,054 shots, brining the total shots to 7,326. About 30% of the county has received one shot and over 12% have been fully vaccinated.
Yokley Road will be closed to through traffic between Bushdale and Rockdale roads for water line repairs Tuesday from approximately 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
There has been a good response to Milam County's effort to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to those who are homebound and unable to get to one of the weekly clinics provided by the county.
