For the third time in four weeks, the outcome of a Rockdale Tiger football game was decided on the final drive.
Thorndale volleyball opened up post-season play on Monday at the Caldwell High School gym, where they swept Snook 25-17, 25-10, 25-10. The Lady Dogs will now face Shiner, who came into the post-season as the fourth place team from District 27-2A. The Lady Comanches—a team made up of three freshman and five sophomores—upset District 28-2A champion Yorktown 25-22, 25-21, 25-18, on Tuesday evening at Victoria-West High School. As of press time, the time and place for their area round matchup has yet to be determined.
THORNDALE—In what was their most anticipated game of the season, the Thorndale Bulldogs and the Hearne Eagles battled in Milam County to decide the district champion as both teams each had only one district loss going into the game.
