For Thorndale High School junior Raeghan Carlson, softball isn’t just a seasonal sport she moves on to when volleyball ends, it’s a part of her life all year around and has been for as long as she can remember.
After falling 25-17 in their opening set with Caldwell, Lady Tiger coach Kelsey Hudson made a few adjustments on defense which helped her team rally to win three straight sets 25-12, 25-22, 25-17, to get their fourth district win and avenge a tie-breaker loss to the Lady Hornets on Sept. 14.
Going into Friday evening’s game at Tiger Stadium with winless Caldwell, it was a surprise to Tiger spectators when the home team went into halftime trailing 22-14.
Early scoring helped Rockdale Junior High’s eighth grade “A” team secure a victory when they took down Caldwell Thursday evening at Tiger Stadium.
Milano struggled early Friday night on their home field against 6-1 Granger, who currently holds third place halfway through the District 13-2A-II race.
